Takes some practice, when in a pickle this is a good option. Especially compared to other urinal options as any splash factors are contained. I've found quart size baggies (or bigger) for those girls who really gotta go! I keep one in my purse always.

Frustrated that there was really nothing on the market that we were comfortable using to avoid those gross public toilets and porta-potties, and also to deal with those times while camping, hiking, boating, etc. when there are no toilets around, we decided to design, develop, and have brought to market another alternative - GottaTinkle! Female Urination Device.

We initially created a prototype of what would have looked like an iPhone with retractable arms to hold a collection baggie, but there were a number of problems, including that the device was too bulky, there were too many moving parts, and there are no standard baggies that consumers could easily purchase for the device.

We then realized that a much simpler design would actually work much better, and after many many trials and iterations came-up with the current GottaTinkle! Female Urination Device.  The device is essentially flat with a relatively small aperture that is designed to hold a standard-size ziplock style baggie that can be purchased at a local grocery store. 

The device is compact - easily fits in a back-pocket, fanny pack, purse, or even clipped to a belt or backpack - lightweight, and narrow so that it easily fits comfortably between the legs of a woman or a small girl. There is a small handle so that the device may be easily positioned and held in place - whether by the user or a parent helping a young child.  

GottaTinkle! is kid-friendly compared to the funnel and cones on the market - there is nothing awkward or embarrassing about using the device and, because it uses disposable ziplock style baggies, GottaTinkle! does not come into contact with pee and does not therefore need to be washed between uses. It can be shared - as in our case - by mom and our three girls.  And, because the device is protected by the ziplock style baggies, there is no dirty device to cart around or otherwise attempt to clean in a dirty public sink in the presence of strangers (assuming that there is even a sink around).

And, because GottaTinkle! collects the pee in a disposable zip lock style baggie, it can be used inside an SUV, tent, changing room, etc. for later disposable (such as when it is safe to pullover or in the morning in the case of use in a tent).  It can also be used repeatedly on long hikes, climbs, boating trips, etc. The ziplock style baggie is so small and convenient that it may even be used to hold a granola bar wrapper and other trash for later disposal. 

With GottaTinkle! we can pee here - we can pee there - we can pee anywhere!!! And, we don't have to worry about touching dirty toilets, standing on urine soaked floors, or washing some a dirty funnel or cone.

GottaTinkle! has a very simple appearance compared to other devices, but I must say it's a great invention, especially for girls! I love it. It is extremely simple to use. Unlike other [female urination devices], it is good for females of all ages, but especially, for daughters to use at school; adolescents and young people who are starting out, for comfort and protection ... GottaTinkle! tiene una apariencia muy sencilla comparada a otros dispositivos, pero tengo que decir que es una excelente invención, SOBRE TODO PARA LAS NIÑAS! Me ha encantado, pues es extremadamente sencillo de utilizar.

I am a father of two and have three granddaughters ages 7 through 11.

I have personally seen how my granddaughters would often go hours and hours without voiding (pee'ing) because of unsanitary facilities (dirty bathrooms). This can result in serious health problems including increased risk of urinary tract infections and other medical conditions.

C’mon ladies, admit it. At least once, you’ve wished that you could pee standing up ... those times when nature calls and you’re traveling, or outdoors, or wearing something that’s super-constricting and difficult to get on & off. Hey, if it’s good enough for Jennifer Lawrence, then it’s good enough for me! 

They actually make 2 different types of pee funnels ... disposable ones - so you don’t have to worry about the cleanliness factor of toting a silicone or plastic pee funnel around after you’ve used it ... [and] reusable ones - so you don’t have to keep spending money on flimsy pee funnels ... rinse it off or ... wash it ... later ...

My [two cents] about [one of the funnel devices] ... since the walls of the funnel are slightly folded ... it seems a little more difficult to clean ... the spout is shorter ... so basically you’re peeing right where you’re standing. If you’re in the woods, that means you’re probably peeing on your shoes ... it’s such a “tight squeeze” to get any funnel positioned properly against your body ... softer funnels are more difficult ... getting caught on your underwear (or sweaty skin in the summertime outdoors) ...

Some other female urination devices that I found to be really unique:  GottaTinkle – uses regular plastic baggies like Ziploc sandwich bags ... Since the urine never touches the device, it’s a cleaner option ... [emphasis added]

Purchased GottaTinkle! for outdoor events - such as sporting events, concerts, fairs & festivals. We have an annual golf memorial and a bunch of us women sit at the 17th hole for hours. I love this product. I have three girls. It has always been so difficult when we go out for the day, as one of our girls always seems to have to pee at the worst time. I hate using public bathrooms because they are usually disgusting and I don't have the patience to wrestle with cheap toilet paper to cover the toilet for my kids. With GottaTinkle, they can just pee right into the bag (by themselves) and neither of us have to touch the toilet. All I have to do is wait for them to finish.

It's so easy for them, they actually used it inside my SUV or on our fishing boat - which does not have a bathroom. They are not always keen on jumping into the middle of the ocean just to pee. I have also use the product on car trips (love avoiding the long lines at rest stops) and when we go camping. The girls just go to the bathroom right inside the tent, great when it's night time or raining. Although I initially started with just one that we shared (it never gets dirty because the collection bag wraps around it and gets tossed), my 10 year old has her own now because she likes to carry it around. Without a doubt, a superior product, especially for dads with young girls who hate grime and germs.
